Subject: Geophysical investigations in GPR and MASW version at Brown Coal Mine in the Łódzkie Voivodeship.
The work aimed to locate potential zones of coal seam loosening into the sands immediately below caused by hydraulic phenomena. We used GPR and seismic, obtaining an interpretable measurement range of 8.0 m for the GPR method and 15.0 m for the seismic method. Data interpretation delineated an anomalous zone indicating the potential occurrence of adverse effects on the border of the coal seam and sands directly below it.
