In March 2025, we completed magnetotelluric and gravimetric surveys in France, near the town of Roanne. They complemented broader geological surveys conducted by our Partners and aimed to assess the geothermal potential for electricity production in the Roanne region.
As part of the measurement campaign, detailed surveys were carried out across an area of 1,125 km², which allowed for three-dimensional imaging of the subsurface geology at a depth of several kilometers.
Our engineers were accompanied not only by beautiful views of the northwestern areas of Lyon, far from the hustle and bustle of the city, but also by whimsical winter-spring weather — an inseparable element of fieldwork.
