In October 2024, our company conducted microgravimetric surveys in the northeastern part of the Upper Silesian Coal Basin (within the Trzebinia municipality).
The objective of the order was:
– study of the near-surface structure of the ground (recognition of the state of the rock mass) in connection with the shallow exploitation of deposits (up to 100 m below the surface),
– to identify potential sites threatened by the possibility of new discontinuous deformations in the studied area.
Scope of work:
- The survey covered an area of more than 6 hectares, where 800 measurement points were distributed. The CG-5 Autograv gravimeters of the Canadian company SCINTREX were used for the measurements.
- Necessary surveying measurements were also made using Leica equipment.
- The work was carried out following the guidelines from the Ordering Party, including the analysis of geological and mining conditions, land use, and utility networks.
- To minimize the influence of external factors on the accuracy of the data, part of the surveys were carried out at night.
