In August 2024, our company, commissioned by a private investor, realized searching for geothermal water. In due time, the team dedicated to this task carried out a series of magnetotelluric surveys. All of them took place in the western part of the Jelenia Góra Basin. Their goal was to confirm the presence of geothermal water deposits in the probed area!
The Sudetes region is a charming corner of Poland, but the weather did not spoil our employees. They had to expect heavy rain, high humidity, and scorching sun, but also a light wind on cloudy days.
Magnetotelluric survey (MT) is a geophysical method that uses the Earth’s natural electromagnetic field to study the geological structure. Thanks to this type of research, it is possible to precisely determine the distribution of rock conductivity at various depths. MT surveys are most often used to recognize deep structures, such as geothermal deposits, deposits of drinking water, crude oil, and other raw materials.
Thanks to the conducted research and its interpretation by our specialists, the Client will receive reliable results. Afterward, he will be able to decide on starting drilling and preparing the infrastructure to fully use the effect of searching for thermal waters in his investment.
