Kraków John Paul II International Airport is an international airport located near Kraków, in the village of Balice, 11 km west of the city centre. There are several ways to travel between the airport and the city.

TRAIN

The new Kraków Airport train station is located near the passenger terminal, at the rear of the multi-storey car park. The connection is operated by Koleje Małopolskie (regional railways company operating in Małopolska Region). Trains are equipped with air conditioning, power outlets, Wi-Fi and ticket machines.

Where to buy a ticket:

– ticket machine in passenger terminal, level 0 (cash payment or payment with credit/debit card)

– ticket machine at train station (cash payment or payment with credit/debit card)
– train conductor on board (cash payment only).

PUBLIC BUSES

Krakow Airport is served by three regular bus lines: 208 and 252 and 308 and one night line: 902. These are AGGLOMERATION BUS LINES.  Current departures of the city buses are presented on the screen located near information desk in the main hall. Timetables available here.

Tickets can be purchased from:

• the ticket machine at the passenger terminal, arrivals hall,level 0
• the ticket machine at the bus stop (payment in cash or with credit/debit card)
• the authorized ticket machines found on 292 line buses (payment in cash – coins only)
• the bus driver, in case of lack or failure of ticket machine (single tickets only, payment in cash – the exact amount of money).

You can order a taxi to the kiss&drive parking a front of terminals. The best way to do it is to use UBER or  BOLT application. If You want to use other traditional taxi companies we recomend:

Public Transport

While Krakow has no underground metro system it does have an integrated bus and tram system which runs from 05:00 – 23:00, with night trams and buses continuing less frequently after that.

Jak Dojadę App is the most accurate search engine of public transport connections. It contains current timetables of all types of public transport.
You can use it as personal GPS navigation for public transport and to buy tickets.

Taxis in Kraków

App-based ride-share services like Uber and Bolt (Taxify) operate in Kraków and can be slightly cheaper than licensed taxis. Both services offers cashless transport via their popular worldwide mobile applications. Those already familiar with Uber or Bolt will find Kraków well-covered by their services.

If You prefare to use traditional TAXI Calling ahead will get you a better fare, but if you hail one from the street make sure it is clearly marked with a company name and phone number displayed, as well as a sticker demarcating prices in the window.

The key parts of the meeting will be held on 20 and 21 January 2020 at the Galaxy Hotel which is located across the street from the Vistula River and 2 km from historic town square.

You can easy access hotel by taxi or by public transport (closest stops: Rondo Grzegórzeckie & Św. Wawrzyńca)

The conference room is located at the first floor. At the same lavel You can find a restaurant which will serve lunches and taras where You can rest at the coffee brake.

Dinner on Monday 20.01 will take place in the restaurant Plac Nowy 1 located in the heart of Kazimierz district, just 15 minutes walk from the Galaxy Hotel.

The Gala Dinner on Tuesday 21.01 will take place at 7 pm in the Kawaleria Restaurant located near the main square.

For those who are interested we have organized a guided walk through the city from the Galaxy Hotel to the restaurant (start at 4 PM). Those who want to join only for a dinner can use public transport (the nearest stops – Filharmonia & Plac Wszystkich Świętych).
